You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. Psalm 65:5b NLT When I heard that Crescent City was planning to have a Tall Ships Festival I knew I had to draw a picture of one for the hanging at the gallery. I decided to use one of the ships that would be coming - the Lady Washington - as my model. I drew the picture as if she was sailing into Crescent City in the 1860s before the breakwater was built.
