The Old Tulip Barn

Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.

2 Corinthians 5:17 RSV

On one of our trips to the San Juan Islands in Washington, I took several pictures of an old barn south of Anacortes. I wanted to draw the barn with some flowers in the foreground. I decided to use tulips because of the abundance of tulips in the area - especially across the channel in Skagit County - and because Kathy wanted some soft pink flowers instead of the more fuchsia ones I have usually chosen to draw.

I had fun doing some online research for this one. I had to find out what a horse-drawn plow should look like!
